Every time i show that if there is proxy in the wireless network or internet connection in colleges, schools and in organisations the people who use Microsoft security essential in their computer they can not update it.p
So today i come with a solution for it.
Just do whatever given in following steps and you will able to update your Microsoft security essential.
- Open your command prompt with admin rights.
- Now we are going to set the proxy in Microsoft security Essential which we are using in IE(Internet Explorer)
- Open the command prompt as an administrator.Search cmd in start menu,right click on it,and select Run As Administrator.
- Once in type “proxycfg -u” (without the quotes) if you are using Windows XP,or “netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie” (without quotes) when using Windows Vista/Windows 7 and press enter.
And after doing this you will get proxy and port detect in the command prompt.
Now you are able to Update your Microsoft Security Essential.
