Keeping up with the rapid growth, the social network gaint, Facebook plans to hire thousands of employees over the next year before going public.
According to media reports, Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has announced that her firm would start hiring engineers in New York, where it has a small Madison Avenue office with about 100 employees.
Although, she did not reveal the total number of engineers and workers the company would be hiring, she said, "We are trying to grow at a clip that will allow us to get the very best people and integrate them."
Facebook is expected to sell shares to the public in 2012.
