Play with SRK: Sony Playstation launches Ra.One the game






Sony PlayStation on Wednesday launched a game console, `RA.One-The Game', a prequel to the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-Kareena Kapoor-starrer RA.One, making it the first collaboration between PlayStation and the Bollywood.
The game is priced at Rs 499 for PlayStation2 and Rs 999 for the PlayStation3, while a bundled console will come for Rs 5,999.

Google to shut down Buzz, will focus on Google+






Google will soon shut down the Buzz application, Vice President Bradley Horowitz announced on the Google blog on Friday.
“In a few weeks we’ll shut down Google Buzz and the Buzz API, and focus instead on Google+,” Horowitz said.
Users could post updates, messages, videos, etc. on their Buzz page and follow other users’ posts. Besides this, the Buzz API allowed users to share their activity across Google products like Google Reader, etc. and on other platforms like Twitter on their Buzz page.
Launched in 2010, Buzz was Google’s attempt at creating a social network to challenge leading networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. However, Buzz quietly retreated into obscurity.

Hackers target FB 600,000 times every day






Hackers target hundreds of thousands of Facebook accounts nearly 600,000 times daily, the popular social networking website has revealed. Out of more than a billion logins to the website every 24 hours, 600,000 are impostors attempting to access users' messages, photos and other personal information, according to Facebook.

If recalling passwords is a bit of a challenge for you- like it is for a lot of us- then Facebook has perhaps found a solution for, well, all of us. It has now made it possible for users who have forgotten their password to seek help from a pre-designated group of 2-3 trusted friends.
"Similar to other features that help you prove your identity through your friends, you can now select three to five trusted friends who can help you if you ever have issues accessing your account," says Facebook.
It adds, 'It’s sort of similar to giving a house key to your friends when you go on vacation–pick the friends you most trust in case you need their help."

After facing flak for allowing pages which allegedly promote sexually violent behaviour, social networking website Facebook has taken down some of them.
Many individuals and organisations had protested against creation and existence of such user-created pages, which go under names like “Throwing eggs at sl**s, brick shaped eggs -- made from brick” and "Wiping makeup off your shoe after a long day of kicking sl**s in the face".

On Children's Day, Google homepage carries doodle by 7-year-old Indian







Google India has commemorated Children's Day in India with a homepage doodle that was created by a seven-year-old Indian, Varsha Gupta.  
Varsha's imaginative doodle, entitled ‘Indian Musical Instruments’, became the third by an Indian to be declared the Doodle4Google winner.
A student of Ryan International School, Greater Noida, Varsha’s design around this year’s theme, ‘India’s gift to the world’ represents musical instruments with Indian origins.
