Best download manager for Ubuntu

Steadyflow is an easy to use download manager for Ubuntu. The application is currently available for Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" and Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot". With the latest release, Steadyflow has got some new features which makes it a very good option if you are looking for a download manager.

Here is a brief list of the features that Steadyflow has:
  • Steadyflow supports running any arbitrary command on the completion of adownload.
Tighter Unity integration - Add download added to Unity's quick list.
  • Password authentication id supported for FTP, SFTP, SMB etc.
  • Download controls for all files at once as well as individual files are supported.

After adding the PPA, you can install it with the commands,
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install steadyflow
