Lenovo idea pad A1 is now available with blue and black cover

What do you get for $199? Well Lenovo states their new A1 tablet will provide buyers with a 7-inch 1024-by-600 capacitive multi-touch LCD, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a single-core ARM Cortex-A8 processing chip, 8GB of built-in memory, microSD and SD card slot expansion, dual cameras (one front and one rear), Wi-Fi, and a GPS receiver comes built-in.The Lenovo IdeaPad A1 will be offered in four distinct colors; Black, Blue, Pink and White. Other than having the low-cost $199 model Lenovo will also offer a $249 16GB model and a $299 32GB model, each of those models will have the same features as the $199 model but with more built-in storage.
here are many people out there, this might be you, that are eager to get a tablet but they just don’t want to spend $500+ on one. A few major manufacturers have realized that such a market exists and reacted by launching tablets in the sub-$300 price range, but not many have been able to go quite as low as Lenovo will in price with their latest tablet.
At this time it’s unclear when (dates) the new A1 tablet will ship but Lenovo said you should expect to see the A1 in stores by years end.
On Thursday, the first day of IFA 2011 in Berlin, Lenovo unveiled the 7-inch Lenovo IdeaPad A1 tablet. The new A1 is an Android powered tablet like the $500+ Lenovo IdeaPad K1 and Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet models which were released only recently. However with the A1 Lenovo will be launching the 7-inch tablet with a starting price of just $199. That’s right Lenovo has hit the $199 price-point.
